Put your Heart into It
Put your Heart into It.
In my house, we’ve been talking about the golden rule: do unto others as you would have them do unto you (most cultures have a variation of this).
I find this to be of utmost importance in my interactions with others. I seek to connect and honor them and their journey. And in doing so, I realize this is not what most people are doing. In a seeming heartless time in our society, where many feel isolated and ostracized, is it any wonder so many are dying of heart disease?
Even in our medical system we so detached that we think of the heart only as a physical organ in need of nutrition or medication. WHAT ABOUT LOVE???
It seems many people (since Covid, especially) try to avoid others rather than happily engage them. Everyone is focused on their personal device in an attempt to escape interaction with real humans and their current reality.
Everyone needs love and attention but how many of us actively and freely GIVE it. Unconditionally. Without judgement. Give of ourselves and our time.
To give in the form of a smile, nod, kind word, helpful gesture. To connect, to show interest in others' lives and their well-being. To allow the heart to open and continuously flowing positive energy.
This has an enormous positive impact on the physical heart. When you love others, YOU benefit! To give and receive love, joy, kindness is the ultimate healing.
Are you listening to your heart? How are you caring for your emotional needs? Let’s get back in touch with our hearts. Try giving to yourself and others today. From the heart. <3
